9 things to make you feel happy

9 Things To Make You Feel Happy Right Now!

1. Take a break from social media

Social media can make you feel anxiety and depression. We often see only the good highlights of the person in social media, how happy they are. Human beings compare to each other and when you see that everyone is having fun on some virgin island and you are stuck in your mother’s basement, guess how you’re gonna feel..

Social media makes our attention span shorter and shorter, soon we’re not gonna be able to read a book or watch a whole movie without getting bored. We lose our focus and we become really anxious. Everything else could feel boring compared to the simulations that social media brings. It’s not an easy job to feel happy this way.

Take some break and see how you will feel afterwards.

2. Love yourself

The end of the day you are the only person you would truly experience to be. If you want to be happy, have compassion about yourself. Sure, you may have done something wrong or you are just a lazy ‘mama boy’, but you can recognize that and change it. If you don’t respect yourself it is because you don’t keep to the promises you are telling yourself. Maybe you aren’t authentic and you are not true to yourself

3. Be grateful

Say one good thing to a person. Start with yourself. Then be kind to someone who needs it and make him happy.

Be grateful, happy

Think about all the good things you have right now. This could be your family, your relationships, your talents. We always can find something to be grateful for.

Every day, I like to wake up and remind myself to be grateful of the simple things.

-Miranda Kerr

Imagine there’s people right now starving to death in real physical pain. Some people had to survive the holocaust. Sure, we may have it bad, but we may choose to be grateful in this moment, since life can be harsh and we should be grateful for what we have right now.

4. Think how interesting life is

interesting happy life

Hey, just stop and think what interesting thing you can do right now. Who is stopping you from doing it? Yeah, we all have responsibility, but sometimes we need to enjoy and experience life.

Sometimes we are our own enemies. We stop ourselves from living an interesting life for reasons we may not be aware of.

If you don’t like what you do right now. Stop doing it. We think we can’t do anything about our situation, like we are trapped. But that’s rarely true.

5. Think about the big picture

Earth

Maybe the present moment isn’t nice to us. That’s temporary, it may take days, months, years or even a lifetime. It’s still temporary. The bad moments pass away, have patience. Good times are coming, it’s how life is. Lows and highs. When you are in your lowest moments, realize that it’s temporary and the good ones are coming.

Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word happy would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness. It is far better take things as they come along with patience and equanimity.

Carl Jung

6. Help someone

When we help someone, we feel good. We feel human, that’s in our nature to help each other. We are wired to feel good when we help each other.

My purpose is to help people look at themselves and begin to shift their concepts. Remember, we are not our country, our race, or religion. We are eternal spirits. Seeing ourselves as spiritual beings without label is a way to transform the world and reach a sacred place for all of humanity.

-Wayne Dyer

7. Meditate and breathe slowly

Meditation

Meditation is definitely helpful to calm you down. It brings the focus in the moment. It will make you a better human being. Slower breathing has physiological effects in our body. When we breathe slowly we activate the parasympathetic system, which makes us feel relaxed.

8. Take a cold shower

Cold showers will make your energy skyrocket. Believe it or not, cold showers do make you feel happy, maybe not in the moment though. It’s not easy in the first seconds, however it gets a bit better as time passes. breath slowly and try to be present. Don’t worry, if you start laughing after you finish the cold shower. That’s normal.

9. Exercise

Is not only good for your physical health, but for your psychological as well. Exercising reduces anxiety and depression.

Training

Exercise lead to higher circulating dopamine levels and more available dopamine receptors. Which makes you feel good after a good workout.
